"Broox started out in 2019. I opened the salon at the ripe age of 19. I had been out of school for six months and the opportunity came along, I'll spare the details on how and why that happened. But I went for it, and my family supported me and I would be nowhere without them.

The first location was about a third of the size of the current one. I had to take the laundry home every night and do it at my duplex, LOL. It was just me, Courtney, and Abby for a while, so I guess we're the OG Broox girls.

A year later, another opportunity came by to rent the building across the street. It needed so much work, that I almost chickened out. I had to let the owners know within 24 hours of having a contractor come out & assess how much it would be.

If it weren't for my mom, I would've chickened out. But moms know best, and she was right, it all worked out despite signing the lease two weeks before Covid shut down. That's another story.

Anyways, our current location has seven stylists, a nail tech, and a new stylist that's coming in the summer.

All the stylists have great relationships with each other, I would like to think that's because the environment here is so great. That's what makes our salon so unique and makes our clients feel comfortable and like they belong here. We truly have fun and truly enjoy each other's company. We really are a salon family.
